I was interested in seeing a suggestion on Apple's Mag-Safe 60W page:
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MA538LL/B?fnode=MTY1NDEwMQ&mco=ODgxNDg
(look at the bottom, under Most Useful Reviews)
This guy says if you're getting a spare Mag-Safe power unit for your MacBook, why not get the same-priced 85W version (supposedly for MacBook Pro) instead of the stock 60W? He says that the 85W runs cooler.
Went to the AppleStore in Osaka and asked a guy on the first floor and another guy on the second floor, they both basically said, "Yes, it will work...but we do not officially recommend it, since Apple didn't design it for the MB."
Then went to the Apple section in Yodobashi Electronics (kind of a Japanese Best Buy, I guess). Guy there, who seemed very familiar with Macs, off-handedly said, "Sure, no problem."
Any ideas on this? Or play it safe and get the 60W?
