I have Windows 7 Ultimate installed on my MacBook Pro Penryn with the 256MB 8600m GT and have been playing Modern Warfare 2 on it for a long time running on medium settings with no lag whatsoever. However, recently, a virus was installed on my windows side and my games started to lag. I reinstalled Windows twice and have tried updating to various different drivers to no avail. Games like portal and Call of Duty 4 run perfectly well on the mac side. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Could my graphics card be defective?
Thanks

If you know you downloaded a virus that caused your games to lag, how can you even ask if it's a hardware problem?

Try reinstalling your Windows installation or get an antivirus application to delete it.

That said be careful of what you download.
