Just setting up an iPhone on our new Exchange 2007 system.

I have got it all setup and working, however when on the wifi push does not seem to work, only pull.

Is this a "feature" of the iphone/apple or a misconfiguration on my part?

Thanks

Kimbie

It's to do with DNS. Push uses a connection to the exchange server via 3g so uses you outside public ip address. Wifi I would assume is on your lan, hence uses the internal ip address.

Depending on you firewall you can set it up so that wifi will use your external ip address for the exchange server and be allowed through your firewall.

Thanks for the info, is this information published anywhere at all? In an official way?

Its not that I do not believe what your saying, but need it to be in an official form rather than off a forum
