All non apple apps crashing

So this just started this morning but my iPhone 3G will not launch any apps other than the preloaded apple apps. When I try to launch them they load for a second and then it goes back to the home screen. I havent loaded any new apps so I am not sure what is going on. Any help would be great

Go to the appstore and download a free app from your phone.
See if that does it.

Found this thread on Google. Thx, it worked ! Note that I just updated some apps, I didn't install any thing new.
