Can anyone tell me where the FSCK I can buy a 8800GT for my 2006 Mac Pro? My x1900XT is on its last legs and I'd like to upgrade, but it seems Apple has decided to dump it Any chances you guys know where I can get one? First, or maybe even 2nd hand. . .

Buy a XFX 4870 for $149.99 or cheaper..

Both wise ideas, but the problem here is I have a Mac Pro circa 2006, thus neither of those cards will work in my machine

You're wrong. The 4870 works fine.

Yeah, you haven't been getting all the memos.

4870 OEM or flashed works 100% A-OK in ALL Mac Pros.

Considering I have the same machine, I would re-read my posts.

You could track down a legacy 8800gt.
Purchase an ATI 3870. or a 4870 straight from Apple which will support OpenCL and will speed up the machine a ******** under SnowLeopard!
