Hi

I have a problem. I want to buy a new graphic card for my Mac Pro (2007).
Apple sells a 8800GT for 230 €, but the Pc versions cost only 134€. So I think that it is better to buy a PC-Card and flash it so that the card is compatible with Leopard/Tiger.
Does someboy knows how to do this ? I read sth. about BIOS and EFI.
Can someboy explain for a noob how to flash a 8800GT/8800GTX for Mac Pro(2007 version) ?

Fareed

P.S. Sorry for my bad englisch :D

Use an 8800GT and flash it using NVFlash. You'll need a copy of the ROM, which can be found by searching 8800GT ROM. The EVGA brand ones always work.

The threads that the search bring up will give you instructions on where to get all the software, and how to flash the card.

Can you post some links because i didn`t find the right threads. Sry
What is "EVGA" ?

You cannot flash 8800 GTX. That card has G90 chip and cannot be boot in OSX.

You can use 8800 GT or GTS 512mb card (G92 chip), not 640mb or 320mb (G90).
