Hi.
My Mac is OS X version 10.5.8
It powers down constantly and I was advised to check the box that restarts it automatically after power failure in order begin to ascertain what the problem is.
I cannot find the darned box to check!

I looked in the "energy saver" category where my computer tells me the box is, but there's no option anywhere to be seen.

Can someone point me to it?
Thank you!

You have to look under the Energy Saver, Power Adapter tab..

[edit] Oops... Not reading properly.. I'm under SL, your Energy Saver might be different, sorry..
Go to your System Prefs and search (top right) for 'restart'. The option should pop-up.

System Preferences > Energy Saver:

Two things:
Not sure if it's losing power or shutting off, it will have gone into either sleep mode and will not rouse itself when I hit a key on the keyboard and other times the circle will start spinning seemingly at random and then it will go black.

Here is a shot of what my "Energy Saver" screen looks like. With no option to restart, etc.
