My 12" PB is not acting well, probably do they lack actually draining the battery. Always my PB reports the capacity at 1149 and it should be around 3000 to 4000. The battery life is very short, does the warranty cover the battery. I read throw it on the web, and it basically instructs you to call apple. anybody have any experience with this or am buying a new battery.

I just read another post from today about someone getting a new battery from Applecare. His / her battery was 2 months old and he / she was having problems with the charge. The person said Apple approved a new battery to be sent their way.

And here's the thread:

If Apple determines the battery is defective (suddenly stops working, loses large amount of life quickly, doesn't work as it should) they will replace it.

Moo

thanks dotnina and ducky for the info, apple is replacing my battery.

When I had (or at least suspected that I had) battery issues I called Apple and they sent me a new one. They also included a prepaid box to return the old battery.
