Hi, I upgraded my mid 2010 MBP to 8Gb of from OWC, on the about mac info it shows the 8Gb but on the activity monitor I only see 7,75Gb but the free+used adds up to 8Gb, what can be happening?

Here're my screenshots.

Thanks in advance :)

This is a normal phenomenon for the C2D Unibody laptops. The current theory is that the integrated graphics is taking up a chunk of your memory.

And can you make it take up more memory for movies :)?

No, the 9400M's takes up 256MB of VRAM...no more, no less. As far as i'm aware only the latest Intel HD 3000 can go beyond its 384MB limit up to 512MB
