8GB Ram Upgrade UK

At £220 that 8Gb kit is as good and cheap as your gonna get. What have you got in at the moment? is it 1 or 2 banks filled? if you only got one 4GB chip then you can obviously half that price
 
By the time you've paid import duties and tax, there's very little advantage to buying from MacSales. It's also a lot more hassle dealing with returns and warranty issues if your supplier is based in the US and you are in Europe.
 
Well the laptop is brand new from Apple with the standard 4Gb would this be 1 or 2 sticks from stock?

Yes i would prefer to pay more to buy from a UK stockest for returned etc and avoid import costs etc.
 
Do you have PC3 8500 or DDR3 1333 PC3 10666? I bought the 10666 by accident and will be buying PC38500 to replace. My 13" doesn't accept the 10666.
I have the 8GB of G-Skill RAM in the box still and I'm located near Peterborough in the East. It'll be cheap to overnight it anywhere in the UK.

I've just looked at the price at macsales.com

I live in Denmark and with import taxes it becomes more expensive than my local dealer.

Are there really no EU online stores that sells memory?
 
Sace, there are loads UK retailers that sell memory :), but i cant find a single one other than the one listed above who actually stocks it and is based in the UK, cant believe it really :S
 
Ebuyer sells an 8GB Kit, Speed is more than what the MBP can utilize but it may still be compatible, see thread below (last 3 posts)

Not sure if Ebuyer are actually UK based but they do deliver next day for £9.99 I have bought quite a lot of things from them, normally get the free delivery unless spending a lot of money.

You only have 50 Mins to order if you want it tomorrow though!

What I have is 8GB of G-Skill DDR3-1333 PC3 10666. Sounds like you are running what my 13" has, so no, it won't help for what you are looking for. Sorry, I thought the i7 ran the faster memory chips.
 
No one else know of a place in the UK that sells this damn ram lol crazy that its so hard to find lol.
 
Ah ok so the Crucial store is UK based :O, thought it would come from the US lol.
