I realize demand for iPods in general is waning. But I'd love to see an 8th Gen iPod nano with wi-fi capabilities. Synching via cable is so 2001.

And before anyone suggests an iPod touch, I want the smaller form factor for running and workouts. While light enough, the iPod touch is still a bit physically too big to lug for a run.

Although adding wi-fi to the Nano closes the gap, it's small screen, and inability to run apps would be enough to differentiate it from the touch.

Sorry but they will never put WiFi on the nano because it is way too small. It doesn't have enough space for a keyboard on the screen. However I think it is possible that apple could someday make it a companion via bluetooth to the iPhone and you can view alerts and notifications with the nano. I do agree with the guy above my though that the type of functionality i just said would probably be the iWatch. I'm not even sure there will be a new nano even though I love it. Hopefully there is because i dont want my ear pods attached to my wrist while running because they well get pulled out while my arm moves back and fourth.

Hope this helps.

Sorry but the iPod nano absolutely wont have wifi for web browsing it is just way to small. And apple hardly even cares about the nano now because it is only like .5% of all sales.
