Anyone done this?

Anyone done it online or will I have to go in to AT&T to do it?

I know you can get the 9.99/line + subsidy and then switch the phones and just pay the extra 9.99. Just don't know how to do it online..

That's called adding a line to family plan. You can do it anywhere, including Apple store.

$9.99 x 12 = $120, and you better make sure you cancel the data plan. Oh, there's a crap load of misc fees, too. So I would do the math before taking this approach.

wouldn't it be 9.99x24?

i know it'd be more than the 200, it just seems i'd rather take the 240 over 2 years (+ FAN discount) than 200 right now.

thats what I did. I preordered from apple..picked it up on launch day and let them activate with a new number. Came straight home and called AT&T right away. They put the imie number from the new phone to my existing line and made up an imie number for the new phone...put my 3g sim in my 3g S and done deal..only 9.99 a month. Oh and they removed the entire data package from the new plan

could you detail any "misc fees" you had to pay?

so... do i need a family plan here?

the 9.99 for a line thing would bring my 39.99 plan to 49.98... but the cheapest family plan i see is 59.99?
