So I need to take apart my MBP and will need a tri wing screwdriver...BUT I don't own one. Is there a B&M store that sells these? I googled and honestly couldn't find anything but online shops. I live in California, so if anyone knows stores here that sell them, that would be great. Also, if there's any other "normal" screwdrivers that would get the job done just as well, I'd like to know about em. Thanks!

EDIT: Ok i seriously underestimate mroogle...found out that microcenter carries them, which is good, but the description on their site really doesn't say anything about the size. has anyone used this one http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0335647 and had good results? Again, this is for the 2010 MBP.

Oh sure... mmmh, I think someone here already did that on his new 2010 MBP and it didn't change anything regarding temps... just gave him a better feeling :p

Well, in any case, how about this set from ifixit.com? With all the correct tools for Mac?

I just ordered the larger set to have everything in case I want to take my MBP apart later. But, yeah, thermal paste may or may not actually improve anything, unless you are really pushing your machine.

I went ahead and did the same thing today, only I got the small set. I figure if nothing else, it's a handy thing to have for any future tech stuff. I will probably post back results when I get the triwing driver and reapply paste.

I know this one works:

It's a 00 triwing for the DS and WII. It'll probably be in the games section on the tool display.

I think the DS and WII have the same size triwing screws so the set should work as well.
