MBP 15" i7 + Dr. Bott MDP to HDMI Adapter II = no sound?

Has somebody tried this combination ? Ive tried this yesterday and i couldnt get audio in my samsung tv, of course i looked in audio options and only appeared the speakers. In theory this adapter should work, right?

No, it does not work. There is a whole thread about this already.

Really ??? Then im really pissed because i bought it through apple store by phone and asked if it was sound compatible with new MBP 2010 and the apple store guy told me these are a newer version and compatible with sound.
