Nobody knows but Apple. I'd buy a new keyboard first.

Even the Core 2 Duo will be EOL by Q4 2010, its still perfectly capable. Its a high end C2D, and will most likely be an over kill for you anyhow. But to make sure, what do you use your computer for?

No one here has any idea. Just be patient as what you have now is quite capable and the upgrade when it comes will not blow the socks off of what you have.
