iOS 4.0 Compatibility List

Since it is now becoming possible to jailbreak iOS 4.0 GM, I thought it would be helpful to create a list of Cydia Apps which are compatible with the new OS. I will update the following list to reflect my own experience and your posts. Please note: I am only testing these on a 3GS; I don't know if there will be differences between models.

Someone on another board said iBlacklist does not work.

I also saw that for some people the latest SBSettings beta is working as long as they go into Settings and change the activation method. For me PreferencesLoader seems to crash Settings, so I haven't been able to try it.

haptic pro sorta works, lock screen clock hide works but causes settings to crash, infinboard doesn't work,wifi sync works, tonefxs works... that's all i got for now

Agh I'm gonna be carrying my 3GS around for weeks after I get my iPhone 4, switching the SIM in(with an adapter) every time I want some MyWi action on my iPad.


Unless by a stroke of magic, iPhone 4 is jailbroken at launch and mywi works by then as well.

In another thread someone posted that Element does not work and neither does lockinfo. Haven't tested myself though.

I will probably be doing the same. My adapter is on the way from Austria.

I hope they get MyWi working or that'll be the end of tethering as I know it. I'm not paying AT&T an extra $20 for the privilege of tethering when I already pay for unlimited data.

Backgrounder was updated this afternoon. Added some native stuff. Someone with 4.0 should try the updated version.

Found this thread from google actually, so anywho, been trying out different things from Cydia on iOS 4.0 and....

SBSettings WORKS but you have to install the beta from http://thebigboss.org/betarepo/ witch includes Activator, after installed go into Activator settings and sett SBSettings to start on the swipe
ps: Processes toggle crashes springboard

Other stuff I got working:

Wi-Fi Sync
Flashlight
MakeItMine
OpenSSH


Not Working:
Backgrounder, tryed to install it right this moment, and after hitting Install you go to the "Not compatible" screen "Depends iPhone Firmware < 4-0"

Overboard installs, but when you hit the icon Springboard crashes to safe mode.

StatusNotifier crashes springboard

Six Icon Dock doesnt work


Thats pritty much the stuff I have tested so far, ill add more if I find out more

This is what disappoints me the most and is the one single reason i don't want to jump on iOS 4 right away. I may go for it anyway and just live without tethering my ipad for a few weeks.
