RightZoom, maximizes any window, just add the app to your login items.

RightZoom does this for free (works on everything except iTunes and Google Chrome :-s).

Or... you could use RightZoom which will allow you to maximise any window you want, or, like myself, you can set it to only maximise when holding option (to get the options hold command as you launch the app) works great and you don't need anything that takes up room on your bookmarks bar and work for everything.
