It said it was down for maintenance i believe. Or at least it was the same logo as when it is down for maintenance. Anything change?

Nothing I've noticed. I would be very surprised if the site went down for routine maintenance just as new iPhones were arriving at doorsteps.

I would guess it was the server loads caused from the poster who posted pictures of his new iPhone 4.
