MIM Carrier Name showing on non-jailbroken phone?!!

MIM = Make It Mine

I know the above app is quite popular and indeed have enjoyed using it on previous jailbroken iPhones, however earlier this year I went to a new 3GS and decided to keep this one "official" so haven't jailbroken it.

However, when the phone first sync'd with itunes it seems to have carried over the MIM setting so my carrier name is the custom one I set yet the app isn't on the phone

Anyone had this and any suggestions as to getting the carrier back to normal?

If you failed to remove it before restoring and chose restore to backup, that is why you have it.

You must either remove it or choose set up as new when you restore.

Is that because the change to carrier name is embedded in the "backup" as it were?

I can't "remove" it as MIM isn't on the phone (it's not jailbroken)...

If I "setup as new" will that mean I'll loose all my contacts, messages, apps etc?

No, those are synced back thru iTunes. But you will lose your settings and texts.

Ta, I'll leave it until the iP4 arrives and not sync the backup then...
