i'm looking forward to the improved disc burning. will be nice as the finder burning thingy is rubbish.

but anyway, any update is a good update. it will make my day a bit more exciting!

I don't really need any update, but I'd welcome better SMB networking and graphics drivers are always good. I wonder if they'll remember to change the Computer icon in the Finder to reflect the new iMac...

It's probably too early but I want my networking to work as well as it did in 10.3.4. OpenGL could certainly use some improvement. It's faster than it was in 10.2.8 but definitely flawed, as well.

I'm eagerly looking forward to it, as 10.3.5 has wreaked havoc on my emac... I've had no less than 8 KP's (not even the pretty ones) since 10.3.5, and I had never had *one* before it. All related to the modem while trying to dial out...

macnews is saying that 10.3.6 is expected this week with a possible build version of 7R24...

Hope so. There seem to be noises from the threads on the Apple discussions forums that AppleCare personnel are telling people it should resolve the gui WindowServer hang problems. Oh, please, please, please... 🙂

7R24 is still being billed as pre-release. As a brand new developer, I don't know if the policy is to just keep labeling them pre-releases until one is good enough (and then releasing it), or to take that final pre-release and relabel it for distribution.

However, FWIW, 7R24 looks very stable. I didn't have problems with 10.3.5, and I don't have a 6800, so I can't say that it's fixed things for me. But it hasn't broken anything, either - although I've only been running it for a few days. I hope it makes it out soon and helps those of you with 10.3.5 issues!

7R27 was seeded to developers today. This *may* be the build that goes GM early next week. I'm running it now, and it seems solid.

What kind of improvements are you expecting to see made to disc burning?

Not looking for any specific improvements (I'm a happy camper). But any advancements are welcome. I usually don't know I need something until somebody tells me! 😛

I didn't know I needed an iPod until they came out

i dont know but apparantly improvements are being made. just something to make it a bit more user friendly. i hate to say it but i think that is like one area where windows is bettier than os x in my opinion. well without toast that is!

in addition to my last post, in the audio world of Mac OS X...

It seems they may be adding some kind of support for multiple audio interfaces in 10.3.6
