So, there are a bunch of threads with people reporting signal issues with the iPhone 4. I thought it would be helpful to create a poll to see how widespread this is and if a bumper case fixes it at all...

sorry mate, really convoluted poll with all the bumper case options. most people don't even have the phone yet, let alone a bumper case. you assume that everyone knows what the bumper case is and has made a conscious decision to buy one or not based on the very recent antenna issues. your poll is ok for someone who has spent the last 12 hours reading this forum...but not many others.

sorry mate, really convoluted poll with all the bumper case options. most people don't even have the phone yet, let alone a bumper case.

Just thought I'd add it in, some people are mentioning it as a fix.

Also you should have an option for yes I have an issue without bumper but no problem with bumper.

Poll is about people with an iPhone, does it matter if you don't have one in this case?

So 35 people have taken this poll and over 50% are having issues with the reception. Mmmm that's not good. I think that i read somewhere it's a software issue? Let's hope for a 4.1 really soon then.

Not really sure, try clicking edit then advanced mode. Only reason I said anything is because in a weak signal area I have this issue, but do not have it with my bumper on.

Dropped the same call 4 times while in Best Buy....no case, just the phone. Pretty sad....

No bumper case and great signal. When I first got the phone yesterday my bars were showing low, but quality was still great.

Now my bars are full and service still great.

happen to mine, occasionally drop right down to No Service. Besides this, everything else are AMAZING!!

If you're having signal issues, do what I did:

Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings

It'll clear out all the saved network information on your phone, including anything 3g and wifi related. You'll have to re-join all of your wifi networks again, but it substantially improved my cell performance after I did it.
