Well I live in the UK and they weren't selling the white version at my local Apple store on release day and all the demo phones were black too

I can confirm that there was at least one white iPhone just by the Genius Bar in Regent Street store. That said it wasn't for sale or anything and I was allowed to play with it, looked nice 😀
