Has anyone heard if OS X SL will allow on-the-fly switching between graphics systems in MBP (without having to log in/out)?

Nvidia's being schtum, but i think a high up has talked about it previously as upcoming, and potentially coming to those already with the 2 GPUs.

Painful..

Yes, thanks for the info.

My problem is I travel a lot and I need to go back to the power save mode all the time, and I have LOTS of open apps, and docs... all the time. Closing and saving is a pain, but I often us an open document as a reminder to finish a piece of work. So closing them all down wrecks my not-so-good diary. Sure I could alway write a better to-do list... but this has worked better for me in the past.

Do you really think that it's nVidia's fault?

I mean I have a Thinkpad T500 with hybrid graphics and I can switch back and forth easily between the two cards all day long without having to close applications.

Of course that is between a X4500 and a 3650, not a 9400M and 9600GT.
