Iphone/Ipad av cable (3rd party)

Hi everyone i got this cable in the mail today from china.

It is a third party av cable that works with the iphone 4 that is non apple.

I have read alot of these 3rd party cables do not work because of the authentication chip but these guys claim to have one inside.

I have tested it on iphone 4 and everything works. Pictures from your photo's work, Videos shot from the phone work, Imported movies onto the iphone work and also the air video's app works aswell.

I know that some would only buy apple but this is half the uk price and it works exactly the same.

Yeah it does if you set it to widescreen in the ipod settings it works fine.

The only reason i bought it because 35 is a bit much for a cable from apple.

I just wish there was a hd out on the iphone then it would be complete

I've even got what appears to be a genuine apple cable (MB129ZA/B) and even that does't give me video output. My iPhone 4 is restored from a 3G though and just want to make sure its the cable at fault than having to start my 4 from fresh.

No problem i forgot to mention youtube and bbc iplayer work on this cable on 4.01 aswell.

I'm a bit guttered about my Apple cable though. The component one is brilliant, just the composite one isn't working at all

I promise you it works on my tv with no problems at all. I was a bit worried about upgrading to 4.01 and it working after that but its stayed the same.

They have some on ebay from different people but i don't know if they work.

Recieved it today. Exactly as OP says, works fine on iP4.

Here's hoping my cars USB port provides enough power to charge at the same time

Not got sky sports but the sky news app does not work

Just had my cable delivered today. Works a treat.
TV out must enable Sky Sports to work because i'm watching the build up to Man City v Liverpool right now.
