1-888-FACETIME down/closed?

Is 1-888-FACETIME down?? I've tried to call 3 or 4 times today and I get the recording that says to learn more go to the website but then after that when it usually tried to connect you to a customer support agent after like a minute the phone call just ends. It's not my phone dropping the call as I said I hear the recording part, maybe it down temporarily or maybe it's closed. They said it was only for a limited time.


Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance!!

i get the same recording. :confused:
 
Call 1-888-FACETIME during normal working hours (8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Central time.) They are not going to be open 24 hours, they have a certain time that they accept calls. Try within that time frame above.

huh? do you know what time it is. 12:20 central time
 
They had to close it down because of all the abuse they were getting due to the "death grip" fever/hysteria/zombie epidemic.:cool:

I don't know about that- when I first tried it (the first day it was opened) , the person I did the Facetime demo with said it was a temporary service and that they would close it down in a week or two after it started. That was long before the majority of the iP4 issues emerged.
 
Damn was going to call that number to test out face time. Since all my contacts either have a iPhone that isn't a ip4 or another type of phone.
 
I called at the proper hours today, I got the recording and then it acts like it's going to transfer me and then it just hangs the call up. Is anyone experiencing this? Has anyone got through today?

Have you really? Because I was going to try it later today. I gave my sister their number too. She just got an iP4 and we were testing FT last time and it was messing up for both of us. I was hoping they would be able to give me advice.

the problems were with the back (flipped) camera. When my sister tried to flip her camera, it worked but apparently the little pic in the corner of her screen remained on her, frozen.

When I tried to flip to the back of my camera, it would flip properly on my little mini screen, but for my sister the screen froze on my face and remained until I flipped back :(
 
Down for me. I didn't call first, I just went directly to FaceTime them, and I got the popup that said that they weren't available for FaceTime.

I guess it's already shut down? That doesn't really make sense, since people are still getting their phones delivered. Oh well.

Pretty dumb to shut down the service so fast, when new people are getting the phone everyday. Least keep it up for 6 months, when the majority of people that want the phone will have it.
