Need help in trying to set up Garageband and Firewire. I want to record two separate tracks, one acoustical guitar (mic input 1) and one mic for voice (mic input 2). I want to be able to edit each track separately. I have input 1/2 and input 3/4 turned on but they are both recording voice and guitar simultaneously. How do I set each track to it's own input?

What you need to do is set up multiple real audio tracks in Garageband, and set each to record from a different input on the 410. 1/2 and 3/4 refers to stereo, 1 and 2 make up one pair, 3 and 4 the other. When you have a track set to record 1/2 it will record both on the same track (though on different stereo channels).

You could be able to salvage your existing recordings by duplicating the recorded stereo track onto a new real instrument track, then selecting line 1 on the first, then line 2 on the other.
