Could not add this post to existing thread (iPhone only has one speaker), so I'm creating this new one. Mods, please feel free to move it to the Sticky/Closed thread linked here.
Just like the previous iPhone models, the new iPhone 4 also has only one speaker. However, the 4 speaker is on the lower RIGHT corner, not the left corner as on previous models. iPhone 4 users can easily verify this by covering the single speaker while playing any iPod music file.
Attached is a crop of the iPhone 4 Overview from page 9 of Apple's iPhone iOS4 User's Guide that shows the location.
As with all previous iPod/iPhone models, users will have to use the headphone jack to output or listen to both stereo channels.
