I upgraded from my 3G to the 4 today. I noticed every time I close out of an app, it stays listed in the multitask menu. Should I always go in and close these, or are they ok to leave running? I would think this would kill my battery in no time. Sorry if this is a noob question, but I've never used multitasking till now.

the "dock" you see is a list of recent used apps, they are not running. those that are still running you should know(music etc)

For apps that support it, they go into suspended state, which doesnt use any battery, if they are playing audio they may run in the background.

Apps that dont support it stay in the tray as recently used. Conclusion, dont worry about closing them.

I never close them and have notice no negative effect in battery performance. The only apps that are still "running" would be apps that support multitasking such as music, voip, and navigation. Other apps would just be put into a suspended state as long as the app has been updated to support it.
