Does the OWC Data Doubler work with the stock internal HD in the Mid-2010 MBP 15' i5? (Specs: 320GB Serial ATA; 5400 rpm) -from Apple.com
http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other%20World%20Computing/DDAMBS0GB/

The reason I'm asking this is because I'm planning to switch out the stock internal HD with an SSD (Intel X25-M G2). Then use the stock HD and put it in the optical drive space for data storage.

Thanks for all your help.

Well I just wanted to be sure that nothing goes wrong.
Also,
the OWC listing for compatibility only listed up to early 2010 MBP model.
The one I have is the mid 2010 MBP model.
Thanks for all your help.

Mid2010 is the same as early 2010. There has been only one update in 2010 for mbp.

Works on all 2010 Models..

This will work on all 2010 Models
