Read posts below, may be unintended side effect. Sorry for the overreacting.

Nice try jerks, this used to be a useful 3rd party app, but I am not putting up with this garbage

How odd that there's another thread on this. Oh look and it was started by you as well. Oh and look, you provided no proof of this there either. Stop lying and stop posting about this. Reported

1. Download Firewall IP from Cydia.
2. "Global Deny" anything AdMob related.

Also, I've had SBSettings for well over a month and Activator for over a week now and see no such thing. And I haven't even blocked AdMob.

edited to be nice.

UM ok wiseguy, look at your settings app without SB settings and or activator installed, then go install them and look again. btw I started ONE thread, and posted in another. assclown.

Starting two threads about the same topic is idiotic. Full stop. Secondly I have already installed sbsettings and activator and I see no such thing. You still haven't posted a screenshot to prove it. See how easy it is to come to the conclusion that you're lying?

He isn't lying, I just uninstalled SBSettings/Activator because of this. I wouldn't call it a "hack", but it was moronic enough for me to not use it.

Ha.. that is cute... I see it too. I think it happens after you open the Activator preferences. Then the AdMob bar is everywhere in the Settings App.

I don't know if it is intentional or an unintended side effect but it is kinda crap.

If I click on Activator in the settings, an AdMob ad pops up. If I go back, the ad disappears.

Mine only appears when i go into the activator settings.
Once I back out to settings the ads are not there any more.
Just on the activator selection.
I have Sbsettings installed also.

I'm kinda thinking it's an unintended side-effect. I can only get it to happen in the general settings page sometimes.

Edit:

But once it's there it's there everywhere, even in the "About" tab

it very well may be unintended side effect of the suspended state process. I have changed the thread title somewhat as I guess it could be misleading.

I take back my comments and apologize. The confusion I had (and still have) is that those ads have been appearing in the activator settings for several weeks now. I'm quite used to them. The difference is, the ads close when I go back to settings. They only appear on the activator settings page for me. Plus I don't mind them. The guy's written Activator (which is a massive library which lots of apps use) for free. He deserves some sort of revenue. You're not going to uninstall Cydia because it has ads are you?

I may have overreacted a little myself when I suspected it placed some sort of global malware on the phone. I have no issue with ads within the 3rd party apps, but I dont want them appearing place they dont belong or have any business being...

I can't get it to appear in the settings app. It always closes itself. I rarely go into the activator settings after I've set them so it's not a biggie for me.

I would bet it's just a mistake. It's not there until you open activator. Report the glitch and I'm sure it will be fixed in a timely fashion.
