Hey all,

I have had my iPad 2 plugged in charging for sometime now...and the battery percentage has shown 99% with the charging bolt symbol for many hours now. It has yet to show 100% with a plugged in symbol and my iPad 2 has been plugged in for about 6 hours now.

Is this normal or a problem?

Thanks.

It's normal. The percentage indicator is a pretty rough guestimate. I don't think battery chemistry is that precise. This happens with my iOS products sometimes.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

Who cares.. 99% is the same as 100% anyway..

Two pieces are at work: You need to calibrate by allowing the iPad to die completely then recharge for 7 hours. The charger trickles and in order to protect the battery it will vary 98%-100% when fully charged.
