Hi,
By default, you have to have headphones plugged into the iPod for FM Radio to function. Problem is that the dock has no room to accommodate the headphone jack

I was recently at Apple store and decided to try out the iExtend SLIM adapter

on the iPod Nano with the Bose SoundDock.

With this adapter, I was able to plug the iPod WITH the headphone jack in the device and get the FM Radio to play through the SoundDock !
