Well it finally came in this morning after ordering like 2-3 weeks ago.

The quality is pretty nice, the wood is smooth and soft.

Installation was a breeze, but just make sure you have it lined up properly the first time before you stick. Once it sticks, it's set. You can't re-adjust it again, or else it will break.

I really wanted a nice cherry wood finish, but nobody that I know of sells a good quality skin.

The only downside to this that I can see, is the home button. It's in deeper now, so it requires a little more effort in getting your thumb in to press the button. It's not a big deal and not a huge inconvenience, but def. noticable. I wish they had beveled the edges, so it felt better. Again not a big deal, j/a minor nuisance.

Anyways, on to the pics!

I apologize the pictures aren't in focus in the right places, i'm new to product photography, and its quite different than shooting cars, which is what I normally shoot.

Pics are good.

Looks like it may reflect the flash a bit.

But the thickness will allow you to toss it around without worry of breaking glass as the wood would take the dent.

I don't know why, but I like the idea of wood on the iP4.

Sophia.. if only I had spoken to you earlier, i would have had a stained cherry case! lol. That's a good idea, never even crossed my mind lol.

Asleep: i agree, im not usually a fan of wood, but for some reason I thought it would look good on the iPhone4 :)

Wow you have just made my day I have been wanting a wood case for my iphone for what seems forever just the price was way too much. At $25 I am getting a few of these :)

some 320 grit sand paper would bevel the edge, then apply stain of choice. Find a local Woodcraft, and use the General Finishes brand gel stain.

OP: nice, I like it. Wonder how well it would work with a bumper?

OP: could you please update on the flash situation? I'm really curious about the thickness interfering with the flash.

To those asking about how it will look/work with the Apple bumper.

It looks nice, however it doesn't fit properly. The wood from KARVT is a little too thick for the bumper. The bumper still fits around, but doesn't sit flush with both sides. Only one side will be flush, while the bumper won't quite reach all the way to overlay on the opposite side.

Overall it's going to get annoying, so I ended up j/leaving it off until I get bored of the wood.

wonder if it worked with Element Vapor;)

Also will it work with Anti-Glare screen protector on?

what lock screen do you use BTW? It looked very nice.

Whats that weather thing you got on your homescreen? Is that some sort of theme?

I just want the weather part..

The front panel i've actually attached over a screen-protector. So it will def. work, and will be easier to take off and won't damage the phone itself. I wish I had done the same for the back lol.

As far as the lockscreen, it's called LockMS (i posted a link to the thread a few posts up)

Is that weather display a lock screen plugin? Looks good with that lockms theme

I'll be honest, im not entirely sure how the weather was integrated into the theme. But someone was nice enough to post the theme on the thread, so I j/installed it from there. It's a good couple of pages, but read through it going backwards, you'll find it.
