Hey guys, just wondering if you can post your calibrated color profiles for samsung 9C83 panels. Ive downloaded some from the forums already, but I thought it would be better to collect them in one thread for all the future people who would require them.

I too am in search for a good color profile for the 9C83. I have tried a lot from the other thread too, and have not found any I like. Some good ones, but nothing yet that has said this is it.

I've uploaded a zip with 2 profiles I found a few weeks ago. I prefer native 22 since it shows nicer blacks, but have used native 18 for some time. Both a nice. Let me know what you think.

Here is a profile Ive generated using professional lcd screen calibrating device. I think this profile is slightly better from what's currently available on the forum.

you go to your library/colorsync and then place it in the profiles folder. then you go to your system preference then click on display then color, unclick show profile, then pick that one you want.

hi guys, sorry to hijack. But thios 9c83 samsung lcd, is it for the 2.5 matte or glossy? I am contemplating between getting either the matte or glossy 2.5 but want to know what lcd is in them. thanks!

all matte here .... glossy is nice bought only if you work in the environment where there is no light source so there is no reflection from your screen

sorry for the bump but how does one apply the colour profiles? i can't seem to figure it out.

just google, its easy its in /library/color something and then profiles, just put the profile there and then it should show up in your displays in system preferences, just uncheck there in color tab Show profiles for this display only, and you should see the ones you have added.

Hi there,
I have received my MBP 2.5 one week ago.
Screen 9C83 Glossy. However I found it difficult to read, fonts are rendered badly.
Does 9C83 is a bad screen? Does the 9C81 (LG) one is better?

Thanks

Find a calibrated glossy profile and see if that makes a difference

9c83

Was the 9C83 supposed to be glossy? I have a NEW older 2.5 I just picked up, and it has this screen and it is matte.

Attached is the profiles i switch between. One (Perfect) stemmed from a MBA and the other is someone elses work

I use the Perfect one most as it seems to be easy on my eyes...then again maybe i'm just used to it but to each his one. Enjoy

PS (9C83) Samsung this was one of the good displays IIRC
