This. I will be picking up my 17 Pro in store but waiting to check out the Air in store. There might be a good amount of people who are taking a wait and see approach since it's essentially a first gen product. People want to see it and feel it for themselves in stores, wait for word of mouth from more tech-savvy friends and family, etc.
That may be part of it. So many people prefer to be led about the nose by YouTube. There might be a good amount of people who are taking a wait and see approach since it's essentially a first gen product. Or they actually had sufficient supply? What do we make of this.....demand not what people thought?
Pfft, take your optimism elsewhere, this is the MacRumors ForumsOr they actually had sufficient supply?

All models mostly still available to be delivered on the 19 besides certain colors and all of the Pro Max.
People want the 5000mah battery and new colors!
I think people want to see it in person and read reviews before making a decision. What do we make of this.....demand not what people thought?
We'll know in a year or two. Patience. What do we make of this.....demand not what people thought?
I wasn't planning on getting a new phone this cycle. The Air has me intrigued. I still want to hold it and play with it first before I trade in my 15 Pro. Whether I get it first day, weekend, or month matters little. There might be a good amount of people who are taking a wait and see approach since it's essentially a first gen product. I'm in the same boat. I wasn't planning to get a new phone either, since my 15PM is still running fine (82% battery health, though it doesn't quite last the whole day as I'd like). I ordered the Air for in-store pickup on release day.I wasn't planning on getting a new phone this cycle. The Air has me intrigued. Agreed. I believe the Air will have people at hello in hand. Can’t wait to try it.I imagine that a lot of people that preorder day 1 are power users who lean towards the Pro Max. Once Airs are in the wild and the general public gets to experience them, I bet they will start selling out very quickly.
They have much more supply and have more deals with carriers worldwide. Basically the majority of people will get their phones from Verizon , ATT etc instead of buying directly from Apple. You're right. Everything is available accept the PM. This has never happened before.
And most people and businesses do not buy directly from Apple. They get a new iphone from Verizon /ATT/T-Mobile etc. .I imagine that a lot of people that preorder day 1 are power users who lean towards the Pro Max.
