A purported image of an iPhone 5 part has appeared on a Chinese reseller of Apple parts’ website. Specifically, this part may be the digitizer panel for the fifth generation iPhone’s touch screen. The part’s design appears to be similar to that of the one found on the current iPhone 4 and past iPhone models, but the screen cutout of the panel appears to be much larger than the one found on panels for the current generation of iPhones. No measurements for this cutout have been posted, but it could be the cutout is for a four-inch display, and this matches up with reports from Apple’s production lines in Asia.

I saw this too, but the more and more I look at it, the more it looks fake. I don't think the very little bezel on the sides is very Apple-esque. I could be very wrong.

But, the top bezel, when looking at the picture, is slanted. If this was a genuine Apple part, I doubt it would have that noticeable flaw.

Ugh I love my DroidX but it would be nice if it wasn't more than 4". I hope the iphone doesn't go this way.

OMFG, the crappy home button that never works is still there. Looks like I will go through 4 of these in a year because it only responds right half the time!

So is it facing down? because the camera whole is on the other side. Real or fake, looks nice. Always wanted a bigger screen on the iPhone.

No way I'm buying jeans with bigger pockets for that thing.

The current size of the iPhone is just right. They can expand the screen to its borders if they want, but I don't want a giant iPhone.

I should point out that their have been "leaked" bezels in the past of the (at the time) unreleased iPad and the (at the time) unreleased iPhone 4 that were actual bezels meant for other products.

Something like this would be so easy to fake that there's no way to know. Also, without a scale, how do we know it's for a 4" screen? That could be exactly the same overall dimensions as the current iPhone 4 faceplate, just with the screen taken all the way to the edges, maybe 3.7". I wouldn't say no to that but I don't want the overall dimensions to increase.

I'm sure Apple is innovative enough to have a larger screen on the same sized phone if they do make a larger screen.
Here's hoping for a 3.7" to 4" screen for the iPhone 5. The current screen size has been around since 2007, it's way too old now.

Um, it will if that is a real part. That looks Droid X-esque. <---say that 5 times fast.

But they still fit! Just gimmie a second.....

I still like the size of the screen, but yeah, if Apple could figure out a way to stretch the screen wider and longer on the current size iPhone, that would be awesome. Just put the Home button on one of the sides.....
