Yeah it says so for my apple are option....so it’s only available to those who bought the new iPad or who already took it out?

So I think they are saying you can only add Apple care after the 1st 60 days of purchase.

If you have Apple care already on the 2018 iPad Pro it should be covered. (With the $29 fee)

that’s what I got from that I think that is right.

Yes this would be interesting to know. I just might have to hit up apple and find out. I have a 2018 ipad pro with applecare+ still. Does that mean my magic keyboard is covered? I’ll let you guys know if i find out.

EDIT: Nm, it is stated that it is in fact covered by any AppleCare plus coverage from an eligible iPad Pro including the 2018 version. Yes it is covered, that is awesome news.

The problem is that, for most 2018 owners, their AC+ on their old iPad will probably expire long before the manufacturers warranty on their new Magic Keyboard.

But still, I’m glad they added keyboards to AC+ because I had to rebuy Gen1/2 Smart Keyboards multiple times due to them breaking after 1yr and Apple refusing to cover it under AppleCare.

So I just reviewed the apple documents again through the link that you just posted. Am I seeing it right that once my applecare+ coverage ends, I can continue to renew it monthly to still provide me with accidental coverage?

I was able to do that with my iPhone X. I had two years of AppleCare+ and I still haven’t upgraded. So now I pay $9.99 per month for continued AppleCare+ coverage. I’m assuming that will be perpetual until I cancel. Once I cancel, however, I cannot get it back.
