I went, I saw, I tried them on.

First try-on: Black Link Bracelet. I love black stainless steel, it looks like gun metal. Looks nice, but the clasp is a mutha to work with. My regular watch is a Rolex Oyster and Rolex has perfected the way a clasp should work. So you can say I'm spoiled. The Link Bracelet clasp is easy to open, but a SOB to close. I couldn't deal with the fiddling. And the thought of having to deal with scratches made very hesitant to considering buying it.

Second try-on: SS Milanese Loop. This is the most comfortable band, bar none, by a long short. It hugs your wrist. The watch stays in place. It is very thin and light. And scratches would not show easily. Downside is that it is effeminate. It would have been PERFECT if it were black steel.

Third try-on: SG with the regular sport band. I liked the SG better than the silver aluminum. The silver aluminum looks like plastic. The black sport band actually looks grayish, so it goes well with the SG color. The band is reasonable, very utilitarian, not much to say.

I did not try any of the bands with buckles. I've alway hated buckles because they are such pain to put on.

So my first choice, by a very slim margin, goes to the silver Milanese. Otherwise I would just go with the SG with the black sport band.
