QuickPlanX - A New Chapter in Project Planning

Since the first launch of QuickPlan over 12 years ago, our mission has been to make project planning simpler and more effective on Apple devices. From iPhone and iPad to Mac, we’ve grown and improved alongside you, always adapting based on what you’ve asked for.

Today marks the next milestone in that journey: QuickPlanX — a fully reimagined and redesigned planning experience, created with everything we’ve learned plus the latest technology.

One App, All Your Devices

A unified, consistent experience

Unlike previous separate apps for each platform, QuickPlanX is now a single universal app that works across iPhone, iPad, and Mac — with just one purchase.

The result is a smooth and consistent workflow no matter where you are, keeping your projects synced and always accessible.

Automatic Sync

Forget about manual file transfers or the quirks of iCloud Drive. QuickPlanX uses Apple CloudKit to automatically keep your projects up to date across all devices:
  • No version conflicts
  • No wondering if your last edit saved
  • Always-current data, everywhere you go
Syncing isn’t technically instant, but it’s quick, secure, and completely automatic — letting you focus on your work instead of your files.

Smarter Views, Deeper Insight

QuickPlanX builds on the familiar Table and Gantt Chart views from earlier versions, while also introducing two brand-new perspectives:
  • Tree View – Gives you a top-down look at your project’s hierarchy, making task relationships easier to understand. Learn more about Tree View.
  • Column View – Inspired by the macOS Finder column layout, this lets you navigate complex project structures through multiple columns, making it simple to manage even the most detailed plans. Learn more about Column View.
Each view brings its own advantages — whether you need a high-level overview or a detailed breakdown. With the redesigned Inspector panel, task updates are faster, simpler, and always in context.

QuickPlanX adapts to the way you work — giving you flexibility without adding complexity.

A Modern, Polished Interface

The new interface is clean, intuitive, and designed to help you get things done. Every detail — from subtle animations to carefully arranged layouts — has been refined to create a professional look that stays out of your way while you focus on planning.

Faster, Smoother Operations

We’ve reworked the workflow so actions feel almost instantaneous. Whether you’re organizing tasks or importing large datasets, QuickPlanX makes it seamless:

These enhancements aren’t just about speed — they make the whole experience more natural, so you can stay focused on planning instead of managing the tool.

AI-Powered Planning

QuickPlanX integrates AI to accelerate your workflow. You can draft a full project breakdown from a simple text prompt or use AI to convert notes into structured project plans within seconds.

It’s a powerful way to turn rough ideas into actionable plans quickly and effortlessly.

Smarter Customization for Complex Projects

Building on previous project settings, QuickPlanX now offers advanced task field customization. Add your own custom fields — text, switches, photos, and more — so you can track exactly what matters most for your projects.

Financial management has also been upgraded:
  • New Resource Cost field replaces the old labor-only tracking.
  • Six customizable cost fields allow more detailed financial monitoring.
  • Built-in Budget and Cost Variance fields help you keep track of planned vs. actual costs.
On top of that, QuickPlanX lets you control how information is displayed — whether in the Gantt chart taskbars, Tree view, or Column view — so the data most important to you is always front and center.

Simple Sharing & Reporting

QuickPlanX makes it easy to share or present your work. Export projects in PDF, Image, or CSV formats, whether you need the full project or just a specific branch.

Built on Your Feedback

Every part of QuickPlanX is shaped by years of input from users like you. From syncing improvements and new field options to cross-device consistency, your suggestions have guided our path.

We’ve listened, refined, and built a planning experience that reflects the way you actually work.
