Questons #1- I heard the iPhone is a GMS phone, true or not true?
Question #2 - If question #1 is TRUE, when I go Europe this summer, can I take my iPhone with me and swap out the SIM card and use it there? (I will be in Spain in September)

Note - I am not looking to hack the phone, just use it like I would a Cingular phone if I were traveling abroad.

Thanks all.

GMS = Not true.

GSM = True.

Can use phone with high AT&T roaming charges in Europe = True.

Need to unlock phone to use a non AT&T sim = True.

1. Well, its a GSM phone, not GMS...So theoretically it will work in europe.

2. To use another sim you'll have to unlock it eg Hack it. Sorry.
