Hi. Just got an "iPad 4" and it's fantastic to use. Had a iPhone 3GS then defected to Android. Tried a Nexus 7 for a while but this is just a joy to look at and use so far. I'm on the latest firmware/iOS

Anyway, I still haven't connected iTunes and would rather not. What I want to be able to do is transfer some video and music over as simply as possiblw without inflicting iTunes on my poor Windows 7 laptop.

Secondly, I was wondering if there areany ways to use physical controllers with some games specifically pinball games I play a lot and dislike the touchscreen controls?

I was wondering what my Jailbreaking options are at the moment too.

Any advice would be great.

Dropbox - for sharing via Internet
File Browser - for my NAS
iFileExplorer - upload files from computer to iPad via your browser

Can't comment on the jailbreak or game controls.

I use GoodReader (http://www.goodiware.com/goodreader.html) for most of my video watching so that I don't have to tether it to iTunes all the time. It allows you to easily download from the Internet, various local shares (SMB etc) or cloud services and has a HTTP and WebDAV server built in for uploading data directly from a laptop or other device on the local network. I don't see why you couldn't use it for music too.
