Hey folks,

Folders in my itunes music folder all have their punctuation changed to an underscore, in itunes it may be full stops, semi-colons or anything else, but in the itunes music folder it is always an underscore. Why is this and can i stop it?

Also, I have my itunes folder on an external hard drive along with all my music etc. but the "iTunes Music Library" and similar files are still stored in "My Documents>My Music". What can I do to make iTunes keep the library file in the iTunes folder on the ext hard drive?

Thanks in advance!

iTunes on my Macs is doing the same and there is nothing you can do - it's expected behavior.

copy the library files to the external, then launch iTunes while holding the shift key. click on choose library when prompted and select the iTunes library.itl file you copied to the external.
