A couple of questions

I am going to buy a macbook pro 15 inch, but i have a few questions.

1. How long does the battery last from a full charge, by just using office, safari, iTunes, and firefox?

2. Does the local apple store also sell the Macbook Pro 15 inch 2.5Ghz, 250gb, NVIDIA 512gb 8600M GT?

3. Can i use my student discount card in the store?

4. And finally can i get a VAT Refund, and if so how?

1) I get about 5.3 hours with just music and internet with the screen brightness all the way down. 2.5 - 3 with the brightness all the way up.

2) I guess it varies store to store. The store nearest me would probably not have it because they only carry the base hard drives in most situations. They might have one or two though, give them a call before you drive over.

3) Yes. I am still a senior in high school, but in the store all they required was an acceptance letter (or ID if you already have one) from the school. Online you need an email address.

4) Not sure, sorry. Don't know what that is.

The only way you'll (legally) get a VAT refund is if you're VAT registered.
