why does it last all week? Do they release everything there going to today? Or space it out over the whole week? Sorry about all the questions this is the first time I'll be watching it.

It lasts all week for the attendees there; they have events and such for developers. All the majority of us care about is in the keynote, which is 2 hours long.
its a week long developer conference to assist in any way they can to help devs building new apps...
i would be surprised if developers are not using beta builds of next releases...

Day 1 is the keynote, they announce everything
and then after that Apple works with developers in a few ways:
- more presentations on developer specific stuff, like maybe talking about a specific API for an hour
- assisting with apps and helping developers implement new technologies
