I’ve had my MacBook Pro 15” for a year now. I bought AppleCare+ to go along with it. There seems to be a single dead pixel on my screen alongside an orangish-tint spot on the botton of the screen (maybe 1cmx4cm), over the dock area. They aren’t terrible faults, but they’re starting to bother me (I do a lot of photography and design work).

If you were me, would you bring the MacBook to an Apple Store? If I noticed the issues a week after I bought the computer, it’d be a different story.

Take it to an Apple Store. You have Apple Care+ and have nothing to lose by taking it in except maybe your time. I would press for them to change out the screen. There is no excuse for a dead pixel and discoloration on the screen. They should replace the screen for you.

F dead pixels. Apple doesn’t tolerate them and I don’t really either. I’d take it to the store.

With Apple care, from experience, no matter how petty your complaint, as long as it bothers you, they usually will repair it for you. As long as it wasn’t an accidental thing like you dropping your Mac or something.

If it bothers you that much . . . just be aware that worst things can happen when devices are taken apart and parts replaced. My poor 2017 MBPro needed up with more than a few battle scars after having keyboards replaced.

You paid a lot of money for a premium product, I would say take it in.

Take it in buddy, I brought my old machine in for 1* dead pixel in the past and they replaced it free.

It was either Apple or LG, but one of them said a dead pixel is within tolerance and so won't be fixed.

Might be LG. Good luck! That would drive me nuts, it's something you cannot unsee. Hope you get it sorted.
