Well, after a few day's with my iPhone 3G I thought i'd share my thoughts.

Everyone that I've shown has simply said wow.

Pros
Simply amazing phone!
Remote AppleTV Control is fantastic.
Shazzam!!! I would have paid £159 just for this app.
Maps and GPS.

Cons
Slight lag in menus and contacts which i'm not too worried about, I know Apple will fix soon ;-)
Doesn't work with the iPod Connector in my car so I can't charge and listen to tunes like I can with the iPod/ iPod Touch.
When listening to music you have to "slide to unlock" to change track. Maybe add a Shake feature to get next track like Sony Ericsson.

Not sure's
How to change the SMS Messages from iChat like view to standard SMS Message?

Will add more as I go.

a few days without my iPhone 3G...

and im having withdrawl symptoms.

it ws supposed to be back from repairs by last friday.... (i sent it in on tuesday)....

its been a week.
SAVE ME ! *cries*

while listening to music you can just press the home button twice to access iPod controls without having to unlock the phone.

If you click the home button twice when the handset is locked, music control icons (play, skip forward, skip backwards and volume) will appear on the screen ;)

Didn't realise that worked when the phone was locked, thanks for the heads up :)

My phone is awesome. The 2.0 software is great, I don't get any lag and the apps don't crash as much as they did when I had my original running 2.0 software. The GPS is great and overall I'm very happy.

I just wish I didn't have those 2 specks of dust under my screen and that my screen wasn't as dark as it is.

Anything 3G-specific?

Everything you write about is also available with the 2.0 upgrade for the iPhone Classic. Any thoughts about the new 3G features, such as speedier network access and GPS? How about how it feels compared to the iPhone Classic (assuming, of course, that you have experience with the original)

Thanks!
