A few images in finder icon view are now suddenly pixelated.

I was looking in Finder at some thumbnails of images that I've seen many times before, and I was surprised to see that a few of the thumbnails were pixelated, which they never have been before. When I open the actual images, they look fine. About five of them out of many thousands are doing that. Since I couldn't imagine what else to do, I rebooted, but nothing changed. I'm stumped.
