Hi everyone. I've had my MacBook for 2 and half years now. Its an aluminum MacBook from late 2008. I'm having a few issues with it. First, it has started to run slow. I get the little beach ball icon very often. Second, Safari keeps crashing on me. This has gotten a lot worse in the past two weeks. It has crashed 5 or 6 times today alone. Third, it runs extremely hot even if I've only been using it for a few minutes. My question is: is there anyway to fix these issues without it costing me the price of a new computer? Should I just consider buying a new MacBook? I know next to nothing about troubleshooting/fixing computers... Thanks for any help.

If that doesn't work, back up all your data and reinstall osx.
