A few issues with MyWi..

Even though I enable WEP, I can still connect without having to enter a WEP key on any machine I try it on..

Also, how can I make it so the "Internet Tethering" blue banner goes away when I turn MyWi off?

That doesn't sound like a good install. When you turn off MyWi, you should see a dialog box come up saying "cleaning up mywi" or something simlar, then the blue banner goes away. WEP should work as well. I'm going to test that now.

Update I tested the WEP keys. With an incorrect wep key, the connecting computer says it is connected but it never resolves an p address. As soon as I have the right wep key it connects AND establishes an ip address. Seems to work.
