a few questions about the mid 2012 15 inch mbp

i have plans to buy a mid 2012 15 inch macbook pro, and i have a few questions.

1. are there any known issues with this model i should look for?
2. will 16gb of ram work? i already have that ram so i'd be nice.

There are two versions of the mid-2012 15: retina and non-retina. Since you want to upgrade the ram, I'm assuming that it is the non-retina you are buying and there are no issues with this particular model that I know of.

Friend of mine has had the i7 mid 2012 15" non-profit retina for over 3 years without any problems.
